Ravenwood looks to keep its Region 6-6A record clean when the Raptors travel to Coffee County in Week 10, with a potential region title riding on the outcome.

The Williamson Herald reported that Ravenwood is eyeing a region championship setup if the team can reach the Week 11 Battle of the Wood against Brentwood without a league loss. The Coffee County road game is the last region test before that rivalry finale.

Ravenwood hosts Shelbyville Central on Friday, Oct. 16, in Week 9 before making the trip to Manchester.

The Raptors' passing attack gives them a clear statistical edge heading into the matchup. Quarterback Brooks Brown entered Week 9 with 1,410 passing yards and 12 touchdowns through seven games, completing 106 of 167 attempts with three interceptions, according to statistics compiled by The Tennessean. Caden Pace paced the scoring with 13 touchdowns and 78 points over the same stretch.

Coffee County entered October winless in region play at 0-3. Brentwood shut out the Red Raiders 55-0 on Oct. 2, dropping them to 2-5 overall, according to Yahoo Sports. Quarterback Caleb Hill went 7-for-19 for 41 yards with one interception in that loss. Parker Cates ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns on five carries for the Bruins, and Turner Weber hauled in three catches for 53 yards and a score.

Coffee County does have a defensive standout worth watching. Hank Crabtree ranked among Nashville-area tackling leaders entering Week 9 with 78 tackles through seven games, per The Tennessean's statistics.

Ravenwood entered On3's statewide rankings at No. 16 on Sept. 28 with a 4-2 overall record. The Raptors have played additional games since that ranking was published.

On the other side of the Battle of the Wood, Brentwood beat Franklin 23-3 in Week 8 and will host Independence before the rivalry finale at the end of October. Bruins quarterback Gavin Strang threw for 153 yards and four touchdowns in the 55-0 win over Coffee County.
