Brentwood Fire and Rescue added three firefighter-paramedics to its ranks Monday, Oct. 12, at the city commission meeting.

Caiden Davitian, Hunter Morgan and Karli Hetherington took the oath of office during the meeting, according to Williamson Source. All three relocated to Middle Tennessee from other parts of the country, bringing backgrounds in EMS, HazMat response, lifeguarding and athletics.

Morgan joined the department in August 2026 with nearly 10 years of fire service experience. Originally from Central California, he began his career in Utah and has served as a field training officer, paramedic preceptor, HazMat technician and Honor Guard member. He also received the Meritorious Service Medal. Morgan holds an associate degree with honors in Emergency Services and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Emergency Services–Emergency Management.

Davitian grew up in South Florida and found his interest in firefighting at age 14 through a cadet program. He completed EMT school in 2021, then finished paramedic school and the fire academy in 2023. In 2024 he began working as a firefighter-paramedic with the Broward County Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue and earned an Emergency Medical Services degree from Broward College in 2026.

He recently moved to Nashville.

Hetherington grew up in San Diego in a family dedicated to public service. She played Division I water polo at San Diego State University and later played professionally in Australia. Her experience includes working as a beach lifeguard and teaching with Life Saving Del Sur, a nonprofit that trains lifeguards in Cabo San Lucas.

After moving to Tennessee, Hetherington earned her EMT and Advanced EMT certifications and began the Tennessee Fire and Codes Enforcement Academy. During the 10-week program, she traveled back to California to marry her husband, Will, while continuing to work toward becoming a firefighter.
