Brentwood and Ravenwood will settle the Region 6-6A championship Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. when the Raptors travel across town for the annual Battle of the Woods.

Both teams enter unbeaten in region play. Brentwood sits at 8-1 overall and 5-0 in Region 6-6A. Ravenwood is 7-2 overall and 5-0 in region, according to MaxPreps standings. The winner claims the region title outright.

The Bruins tuned up with a 28-10 victory over Independence on Oct. 23, according to scores compiled by the Associated Press. Brentwood has won seven straight after dropping its second game of the season. Through nine games, the Bruins have scored 273 points and allowed 109.

Ravenwood rolled Coffee County Central 42-7 the same night, extending its own winning streak to six, according to MaxPreps. The Raptors have outscored region opponents 231-42 across five district games and have put up 315 total points on the season.

Ravenwood head coach Ricky Rodriguez has guided the Raptors' surge after a 1-2 start. In coverage published in September by the Williamson Herald, Rodriguez said after a 28-0 shutout of Summit that opened region play, "It was a time to reset and refocus. We challenged our kids this week and they responded."

Ravenwood has not lost a region game since. Junior quarterback Brooks Brown threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns in that Sept. 11 win over Summit, and Rodriguez praised his growth at the time.

Brentwood head coach Clint Finch entered the season with questions to answer after roster turnover. The Bruins finished 2025 with a 9-3 record and a second-round playoff loss, according to a Williamson Scene preseason report. This year's seven-game winning streak suggests those questions have been answered on the field.

The Columbia Daily Herald noted before Week 10 that the Independence-Brentwood matchup would help decide seeding in Region 6-6A. Brentwood handled that test. Now the stakes funnel into one Friday night.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Brentwood.
