Three local football programs will play for region titles Friday, Oct. 30, capping a regular season that has all three ranked in the latest Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) polls.

The biggest matchup pits neighbors against each other. No. 6 Brentwood (8-1) hosts No. 10 Ravenwood (7-2) at 7 p.m. in a Region 6-6A finale, according to the Williamson Herald. Both teams enter unbeaten in region play. The winner earns the Region 6-6A title and the top seed for the postseason.

Brentwood held steady at No. 6 in Class 6A with 100 poll points. Ravenwood slipped one spot to No. 10 after sharing ninth place a week ago, collecting 19 points.

Across town, unbeaten Nolensville (9-0) hosts defending Class 5A state champion Page (8-1) for the Region 5-5A championship. The Knights climbed one spot to No. 5 in Class 5A with 116 points. Page holds the top ranking in the classification with 184 points and 16 first-place votes.

No. 2 Brentwood Academy (7-2) also has a region decider Friday, hosting No. 5 Lipscomb Academy (6-3) in a Division II-AAA West Region showdown. Lipscomb Academy entered the poll after being unranked a week ago, collecting 16 points. Brentwood Academy held at No. 2 with 76 points behind top-ranked Baylor (9-0).

The TSWA polls are voted on by sportswriters from publications across the state, including The Tennessean, the Knoxville News Sentinel, The Chattanooga Times Free Press and the Williamson Herald.
