Brentwood recorded 28 violent offenses in 2025, earning the city a spot on a national list of the safest small towns in the country.

WorldAtlas published the feature, profiling small towns across the United States where low crime rates pair with strong outdoor and community life. The list is not a numbered ranking but a curated selection. Brentwood, a city of about 45,000, is the only Tennessee town included.

The article highlights the city's free summer concert series at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater in Crockett Park, which WorldAtlas says is now in its 37th year. Food trucks arrive an hour before the music starts at 6 p.m. BrentFest, Fourth of July fireworks, an 18-hole disc golf course and a playground with a dragon-art castle and puppet stage also drew mention.

WorldAtlas pointed to Radnor Lake State Park, just north in Nashville, with its 85-acre lake and 7.75 miles of trails. Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary in Brentwood offers day passes for $5, with no pets allowed.

Other towns on the list include Ridgefield, Connecticut, which logged one violent offense in 2025, and Los Alamos County, New Mexico, which reported 12.
