Dr. Kindal Tatum has opened Tatum & Co. Dental at 8113 Moores Lane, Suite 2100, in Brentwood.

The practice held a ribbon cutting with Williamson Inc., the county's chamber of commerce and economic development organization, on Sept. 24, as first reported by the Williamson Herald. The ceremony featured giveaways, charcuterie and desserts for supporters who turned out to celebrate.

Tatum is the owner and sole dentist at the practice, which offers general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, hygiene services and TMJ disorder therapy. For patients dealing with jaw pain, TMJ treatment options include nightguards, splints or Botox, according to the practice's website.

The Moores Lane space previously housed a dental office. Tatum told the Herald it was ready for her to move in and add her own touches. She said the office has been fully renovated and equipped with new dental technology.

Tatum grew up in the Nashville area and said the space opened up at the right time. Before launching her own practice, she had been working as a temp at other dental offices. She told the Herald that temping made it hard to build lasting connections with patients.

"I'm just excited to get to watch people grow up in my practice, get to experience big life milestones with them," Tatum told the Herald. "Relationships are really the part I'm most excited about having my own office."

Tatum said she also looks forward to hiring staff and helping employees grow in their careers. Her website states she wants the office to be a staple in the Brentwood community.

The practice refers patients to Nashville-area specialists when needed, according to its website.
