Page ended Brentwood's volleyball season Tuesday, Oct. 6, beating the Lady Bruins 3-1 in the District 10-AAA quarterfinals at Summit High School in Spring Hill.

The fourth-seeded Patriots took the match 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, as the Williamson Herald reported. Brentwood, seeded fifth, finished the 2026 season at 13-18.

Junior Sela Baldwin led Brentwood with 17 kills. Senior Laurel McElrath added 15. The two combined for 32 of the team's kills in a match where every set was decided in the 20s.

Brentwood head coach Sarah Rucker said she was grateful her team finished in a competitive way and praised the group's chemistry. "It was fun to coach a group of girls that just truly showed up for each other and loved each other," Rucker said.

Brentwood jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set, but Page clawed back. The set was tied five times before the Patriots pulled it out 26-24. The Lady Bruins responded in the second set. Senior Avery Burdette recorded a kill to help build a 9-3 lead, and McElrath's kill late in the frame pushed Brentwood ahead 23-20 on the way to a 25-20 win.

Page took control from there, winning the third and fourth sets 25-21 each. In the fourth, Belle Harris served an ace to break an 18-18 tie. Olivia Belsky closed the match with a kill.

Page sophomore Becca Turley, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, posted 17 kills and 26 digs for a double-double. Senior middle blocker Audrey Banks contributed three of the Patriots' eight aces. Page coach Rick Hess said beating a team three times in one season is never easy, noting Brentwood had "battled all year long." Page had already swept both regular-season meetings, winning 3-0 and 3-1.

The loss caps a rebuilding year for the Lady Bruins. Brentwood entered the season having lost eight seniors, six of whom went on to play college volleyball. The program had reached the Class AAA state championship match in back-to-back seasons, falling to Nolensville in 2024 and to Summit in 2025.

Ravenwood's season also ended Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 13-19 after a straight-set loss to No. 3 Summit in the quarterfinals.

In the Williamson Herald's preseason district preview on Aug. 20, Rucker predicted the district would produce "four and five set matches at any given time" and said her team would need to be "mentally prepared to have these dog fights of a match." Tuesday's four-set battle proved her right.

Page advanced to face top-seeded Franklin in the district semifinals, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Summit.
