Nolensville's unbeaten football team climbed one spot to No. 6 in the Class 5A Tennessee Sports Writers Association poll released Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The Knights earned 92 poll points after opening Region 5-5A play with a 21-0 shutout at James Lawson on Saturday, Sept. 26. The 6-0 start is Nolensville's best since the program's only unbeaten regular season in 2022, according to the Williamson Herald.

Senior running back Tristen Lithmexay carried 28 times for 159 yards and scored twice in the fourth quarter, according to the Williamson Herald's Premier Performers list. Turner Boswell caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Newell in the first quarter to open the scoring. The defense added two interceptions, one each from seniors Brennan Bialek and Cole Creciun.

"I really thought the key force in the second half was our offensive line," Nolensville head coach Scott Stidham said after the game. "They played extremely well and leaned on (Lawson) a little bit."

Three shutouts now sit on the Knights' ledger this season. They have outscored their last two opponents 52-0.
