The Knights Royal Raffle at Nolensville High School has crossed the halfway point of its $50,000 fundraising goal, with about three weeks left before the drawing.

The Nolensville High School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and Nolensville Athletic Committee (NAC) launched the raffle on Sept. 19 and posted the halfway milestone on Sunday, Oct. 11. The two groups are running the fundraiser together to support NHS students, athletes and school programs.

The NAC raises funds to help Nolensville High athletic teams compete at a championship level, according to the organization's description. The PTSO covers broader student and program needs.

$20,000 in prizes

The raffle offers $20,000 in total cash prizes split four ways: a $10,000 grand prize, $5,000 for second place, $3,000 for third and $2,000 for fourth.

Tickets cost $20 each. The groups set a goal of selling 2,500 tickets, which would bring in $50,000 in total revenue before prizes are paid out.

The winning tickets will be drawn at halftime of the NHS vs. Page home football game on Friday, Oct. 30.

Steady progress

In a Sept. 30 update, the PTSO/NAC said the raffle was approaching the halfway point with one month left. The groups confirmed they reached that mark less than two weeks later.

The raffle page is hosted on GiveButter, where residents can purchase tickets online.
