Nolensville's volleyball team clinched the No. 2 seed in the District 10-AAA Tournament. The Knights will play Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Summit High School.

Nolensville Athletics announced the seeding Sunday, Oct. 4. The Knights will face the winner of a first-round matchup among Independence, Ravenwood and Summit.

The seed positions the 2024 Class AAA state champions for a Wednesday elimination-round matchup at Summit. District 10-AAA has produced the last two state title winners. Nolensville beat Brentwood for the 2024 crown, and Summit edged the Bruins in five sets for the 2025 championship, according to the Williamson Herald's preseason preview.

Coach Brett Young entered the season with eight of his top nine contributors back from last year's roster. In an Aug. 20 preseason interview with the Williamson Herald, Young described the elimination rounds as "obviously do or die" and stressed that every opponent will be strong. "You have to be ready to put your best foot forward," he said.

Senior setter Avery Ethridge surpassed 2,000 career assists during the week of Sept. 27, becoming the all-time career assists leader at Nolensville High School. Ethridge, a four-year starter and team captain, earned Knight of the Week honors from Young, who called the milestone an "unbelievable accomplishment." The Williamson Herald also recognized Ethridge on its Tim Thompson Premier Performers list for leading the Knights to three consecutive district wins.

Ethridge runs the offense alongside junior setter Sadie Deming. Senior outside hitter Taylor Collins, a four-year starter, leads the team in kills. Senior outside hitter Natalie Bane, senior opposite Kamryn Knox and junior middle blocker Josie Ladd round out the returning core, according to a preseason interview Young gave to Nolensville Town Life.

Knox's older sister Kaira set records at Nolensville and now plays at Western Kentucky University, according to the Williamson Herald.

The Knights stood at 4-1 in district play as of Sept. 9, according to Nolensville Athletics. Earlier in the season, they swept Ravenwood 25-22, 25-17, 25-11 to improve to 2-1 in district.

Nolensville's Wednesday matchup at Summit tips off the elimination stage of the bracket.
