Ravenwood High School infielder Jonah Saken committed to Boston College baseball, landing the Brentwood sophomore an ACC commitment before his junior season.
Saken, a Class of 2028 player who lines up at second base and shortstop, announced his verbal commitment on Sept. 6, 247Sports reported. The right-handed hitter is listed at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds on the Ravenwood varsity roster, where he wears No. 10.
The commitment adds Saken to a Boston College 2028 recruiting class that already includes five players, according to 247Sports. The Eagles compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Saken's measurables back up the scouting reports. He has posted a 95.8 mph max exit velocity, thrown 87 mph across the infield and run a 6.66-second 60-yard dash. Prep Baseball Tennessee ranked him the No. 10 player in the state's Class of 2028, according to 247Sports. Scouts described a lean, athletic build with room to add strength, a controlled load and easy contact to all fields.
He is also a two-time USA Baseball alumnus who earned a gold medal at the 12U level.
Prep Baseball Report called Saken "another defensive wizard in the infield" who can play both shortstop and second base. The scouting outlet also described him as "an on base machine" with barrel control that profiles as a top-of-the-order hitter.
Saken forms half of what Prep Baseball Report called "a special duo in the middle infield" alongside teammate Brett Paciorek, a shortstop and pitcher who was ranked the No. 1 prospect in Tennessee's Class of 2028 in Prep Baseball Report's February 2026 preseason update.
The Raptors are coming off a strong stretch under head coach Scott Ryan. Ravenwood went 27-10 in 2025 and reached the state tournament final four in the spring 2026 season. The program was ranked No. 12 in Prep Baseball Report's 2026 Tennessee Power 25 preseason list.
Saken's verbal commitment is non-binding under NCAA rules until he signs a National Letter of Intent during his senior year. Ravenwood baseball is in its fall offseason.
