Ravenwood's Lainey Anderson earned co-Midfielder of the Year as District 10-AAA released its soccer and volleyball awards. Nolensville landed three volleyball players on the all-district first team.

The Williamson Herald reported the full awards Wednesday, Oct. 14, following the conclusion of district play across Williamson County.

Anderson, a Ravenwood junior, shared the soccer Midfielder of the Year award with Page's Bella May. Anderson scored the first goal Franklin allowed all season during the district championship match, heading in a corner kick from teammate Allie Gay in the second overtime period, according to the Williamson Herald's district title coverage. The Raptors won in penalty kicks.

"It hit perfectly, landed right on my head," Anderson said after the district championship. "It was a great ball."

Three more Raptors made the all-district soccer team: Tatum Hartshorn, Ava Beasley and Bentley Briggs. Hartshorn recently broke Ravenwood's single-season scoring record, as we reported Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Brentwood placed McKenna Myers, Elaine Burke and Stella Hooper on the all-district soccer squad. Nolensville's Grace Shone and Caden Joseph also earned spots.

Volleyball

On the volleyball side, Nolensville's Sadie Deming, Josie Ladd and Kamryn Knox all landed on the first team. Deming and Ladd were among the key returners Nolensville head coach Brett Young listed in a preseason interview with Nolensville Town Life.

Brentwood's Lauren Miller also earned a first-team selection. Miller was projected as the Bruins' starting libero before the season, according to the Williamson Herald's preseason volleyball preview.

Ravenwood's Alyssa Shave rounded out the local first-team honorees.

On the second team, Nolensville setter Avery Ethridge, Brentwood's Sela Baldwin, and Ravenwood's Camille Crawford and Katherine Coulter all earned recognition.

Franklin claimed both MVP awards. Aubry Gates took soccer MVP after the Admirals posted an unbeaten regular-season district record. Emmy Garner earned volleyball MVP, and Franklin's MaKayla Beebe was named volleyball Coach of the Year. Summit's Summer Riley earned soccer Offensive Player of the Year, while Franklin's Josie Johnson was Defender of the Year and Franklin goalkeeper Ella Doty took Goalkeeper of the Year.

Region play in soccer opens Tuesday, Oct. 20. In volleyball, Franklin and Summit advanced to state-qualifying sectional matches on Thursday, Oct. 15.
